West Virginia was hit by a strong storm in April 2024 damaging many homes and businesses.  It was a hard day for a lot of West Virginians.  The silver lining though is in the response.

JFK came to West Virginia in 1963 for the Centennial Celebration. It was pouring the rain. People stood around in coats with umbrellas waiting to see if he would speak. He walked to the microphone and said, “The sun does not always shine in West Virginia but the people always do.”

We see you shining, West Virginians, and we’re so proud to live in a state where neighbors drop everything to lend a hand.
